My sister’s workplace recently had a family open day which let people’s family and friends visit the office after work and find out more about what they did. After some exploring and learning more about what she did, we decided to get some dinner nearby with her friend before heading back home. We went to the Red Lion, a cosy countryside pub in Welwyn which she had been to before and recommended. To start we had the baked camembert with bread and chutney and pan fried scallops with chorizo and pea puree, followed by creamy fish pie and steak and ale pie for mains. It was delicious and hearty pub grub and just what we needed after a long day.
