Wong Kei in London’s Chinatown has a reputation for 1. Cheap chinese food 2. Rudeness. For the longest time, they were known for their brisk, blunt service yelling upstairs or downstairs at you to direct you to a free, often shared, table. But for that you got cheap Chinese food, big portions and a free cup of tea. Plus being known as London’s rudest restaurant had it’s perks in the form of tourists and upstairs downstairs tshirt memorabilia. To be honest, whenever I’ve visited I haven’t had a problem with the service. Curt, yes. Rude, not really. Or maybe I’m just used to it (scary thought) :3
