I’ve spoken about how much I like Chocolate Fish Cafe before. The thing is, being on Shelly Bay along the Wellington peninsula, it’s pretty hard to get to without a car. And car-less was exactly what we were when we first arrived and continued to be until we decided to stay longer than originally planned and took the plunge and bought our own little run around. And what better way to test our new car than with a drive around the bays. Being fully mobile, our first stop was at Chocolate Fish Cafe where we could soak in the sunshine and eat some food. This time I had one of their specials; scallop, black pudding and bacon burger with an apple and fennel salad and it was really good. If it was part of their regular menu, I’ll definitely order it again. And who knows, maybe they will. But now it’ll only be a short drive away.
